Who am I?

I am an award-winning foreign correspondent who has covered stories from around Australia and around the world. I have spent the last 4 years reporting in the field across Japan and the region, including Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. I am a video journalist, meaning I shoot, edit and report my own stories from the field.

Before becoming a foreign correspondent, I was a national reporter, covering environment, science and technology across all of the ABC's TV, online and radio platforms. Throughout my career I have won several journalism awards, including the Walkley Award for Young Australian Journalist of the Year,  European Union/QANTAS Journalism award and numerous WA Media Awards.

I grew up in Perth where I started my career at Radio 6PR before moving to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a cadet. After reporting from throughout Western Australia, I moved to the ABC’s headquarters in Sydney to take up a position within the National Reporting Team. That led to my posting in Tokyo and I have now come full circle and returned home to Perth.
